The Ferrari Showroom in Ningbo
“If you can dream it, you can do it,” said Enzo Ferrari, the legendary founder of Ferrari. A pioneer in the automotive industry, Ferrari believed not only in building cars with unparalleled aesthetics and performance ability, but also with unmatched technological innovation. In short, he was constantly pushing boundaries, such as when Ferrari decided to enter the China market.
The very first Ferrari vehicle arrived in China in 1993, arranged by Italian Motors, the Ferrari dealer in neighboring Hong Kong. The incredible Ferrari 348 TS was sent to the Beijing International Conference Center in support of Beijing’s 2000 Olympic bid, and it quickly became the “dream car” for the country’s citizens.
Fast forward to 2023, and Ferrari is celebrating the momentous milestone of its 30th anniversary in China. During this year, not only has the company unveiled a special edition Ferrari Roma, a collaboration between Chinese designer Jiang Qiong’er and the Ferrari Tailor Made program, the company is also continuing to expand in China, adding a massive, new, state-of-the-art dealership in Ningbo.
During the planning phases of this exciting expansion project, the official Ferrari dealer had a dream for their new showroom. They wanted to push the boundaries of design and construction, featuring perfectly flat Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) with sleek, seamless corners for the building. They also had extraordinarily rigorous quality requirements for the panels; thus, they contacted CENTRIA International, knowing the company could do a perfect match of the Ferrari color for the panels, and also surpass their aesthetic and performance standards.
According to Alex Claypool, CENTRIA International’s Managing Director, “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to support Ferrari’s quest to grow in China by providing our high-performing ACP products for their project. But most of all, we loved having the opportunity to help make their design dreams a reality.”
